Weekend in Paris

It was all very unexpected and happened really fast.

I’ve been in London for 3.5 years and I’ve never been to Paris. I loved France and the French way. I was lying in bed on a Sunday when I got asked to come to Paris and it took me until Wednesday to make up my mind.

Arriving in Paris…I got wizzed away on the back of a scooter…..I loooved it. So french, so fabulous! The city has that “I’m in love feeling” and everyone needs love, right?

On a Saturday night in Paris, the only thing to do is meet friends and have crêpes with champagne.

The sun was out but it was a bit chilly…well…freezing to be honest. We went for a delish breakfast at a local restaurant on Sunday morning. Again, it’s that effortlessness and relaxed feeling of sitting in the sun and reading your paper while having a cup of tea and a scrumptious pain au chocolat…yum yum yum.

The rest of the day was all about being a tourist. The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower and the best hot chocolate in the world from Angelina’s. This is not just any hot chocolate, it’s from another planet. I may

have had mini orgasms while I had it……😍😍😍

As you can probably see, I’m a hopeless romantic and love things warm and fuzzy! I’m not talking about champagne….the most special thing for me was the bridge with all the Locks Of Love. You buy a lock, write your partner’s and your name on it, lock it to the bridge and throw the keys into the river. The irony was the lock I bought on the bridge was from South Africa……even better….its theft proof 😱

After a fabulous day of scooting around and seeing things, you have to end the day with Bubbles to make the 5am wake up call for the first Eurostar back to London more bearable!
