Bank Holiday Mondays are meant to be enjoyed with bubbles and when that’s with friends it’s even better.
Set on The Embankment, The Corinthia hotel is stunning. It’s elegant with lots of style. When you walk in, the entrance hall is just a show stopper. To be honest I could live there permanently.
Well… let’s begin. The flowers are just amaze balls. The team from By Appointment Only takes care of this and let me tell the you they are amazing. Talented does not describe them.
The seating arrangements were initially not quite social, but as soon as I asked to move a fabulous fellow South African working at the hotel, swept us up and seated us outside at a amazing table.
As we are talking about fabulous people, the service was excellent. They were a little cheeky and had banter… which I love… but just the right amount. She advised us on portion size and recommend to rather have 5 instead of 7 portions, and use our saving on an extra bottle of bubbles… a women straight from my heart.
The first course was sandwiches. There were about 7 different ones per plate yum yum yum… crab, cheese and pickle, salmon… all of them just delish.
Followed by scones and cream… slightly salivating as I’m writing this. They were just devine.
Now for the art work. The sweet things arrived and they were beautiful. They looked amazing… plated to perfection and tasted fantastic.
The Corinthia has to get a 10 from me as the service attention to detail and cheekiness was spot on.
I love I love I love
A chain that has grown faster than my hair… but still serving a very good brunch.
Generally I like to stay clear of chain restaurants as I think they lose their originality. Honest burger has kept just enough.
Sunday brunch is very big for me and I always want something tasty. On arrival we were welcomed by a friendly host that made us feel at ease straight away.
At the table we got iced teas and coffee which was yum. The menu isn’t large but caters for most people. I had avocado and eggs with toast – one of my favourite dishes. My partner went for the full thing… eggs, sausage… well you can see what I mean below… #theworks 😎😎
For a place that serves brunch, not offering a decaf coffee or any tea other than English breakfast is a bit of a disappointment… unless of course they start serving unlimited bubbles!
Definitely a place to go for a very chilled and straight forward brunch.
I do love it when you stumble upon something amazing….aka a FABULOUS restaurant!!!
One of the most stunning views in London…
What’s a lunch without unlimited Prosecco?
It’s always fun getting together with people in the wedding and events industry, but what makes it even better is when it is at the Savoy.
