WHY DO WE DRY CUT?

Dry is hair's natural state. Dry hair expresses its three dimensions: texture, shape, movement. Dry hair looks and behaves differently from wet hair. Wet hair is flat, two dimensional.

Cutting wet hair is cutting blind. Hair cut wet, when styled, can sit on the head awkwardly.  Wet cutting forces the hair into the cut, rather than adapting the cut to the hair.

WHAT IS THE DRY CUT PROCESS?

Our 3D Dry Cut begins with a wash and a simple blow dry without styling the hair.

We let the hair fall naturally. We study the hair’s architecture and texture. How it drapes the head. How it frames the face. How it moves from the hairline and crown. Things you cannot see with traditional wet cutting.

With a 3D understanding of how the hair works, we layer and blend the dry hair building up the architecture around the head and face in three dimensions.

After the dry cut, the hair is dampened again and styled to perfection.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE DRY CUT?

Dry cutting takes all hair factors into consideration: texture, thickness, hairline, face and head shape. These qualities are not visible when hair is wet.

Dry hair shows where there is excess heaviness in its overall architecture and how this heaviness affects how a style will work.

Dry cutting allows us to uniquely adapt a style in 3D for each client to achieve a flawless, bespoke finish.

Hair after dry cutting is easier to maintain and always looks fabulous.
