Brushing from the roots down. It may seem like one of the simplest steps in your beauty routine, but incorrectly brushing your hair can lead to some serious damage. Avoid using a brush with stiff bristles and use one with soft bristles and prevent breakage by working out knots from the ends and work your way up to the roots.

Handling wet hair roughly. Wet hair is more fragile be careful and gentle while combing.

Skipping heat protection. Preventing damage is so much easier than fixing it, so protect your hair when you style it! Heat is very damaging to your hair, especially if you use hot styling tools every day. Use a protecting spray every time you style with heat to prevent damage.

Avoiding your hairdresser.  If you have split-ends, the longer the splits exist, the farther split travels. Avoid damaged ends by getting a trim every 6 to 8 weeks for fuller and healthier hair.

Taking Hot Showers. The heat from a hot shower can strip away your hair’s natural oil (serum), without which the hair becomes dry and brittle.

Using dirty brushes! When you brush your hair, lots of dead skin particles end up on your brush, even if you cannot see it. Dead skin is the perfect environment for growing bacteria. Apart from being simply disgusting, it can get transferred back to your scalp if you don’t wash your hair brushes regularly.
