Whenever the seasons change, the first question is always, what should we be wearing? Are there any key items that would inject new energy into my wardrobe? September brings with it the beginning of Autumn Winter 2021 trends and so Isobel Kershaw, our resident stylist shares her 3 top picks for women and men.

WOMEN'S TRENDS

COLOUR

The key hottest colour this season is blue! However it's not any old blue, it is tones that turn blue from a neutral into a vibrant and fresh option that stands out in the crowd!

CUT IT OUT

Love this trend, but it does scare some, especially depending on where the cut out is. However, it just gives an item of clothing that bit of sexiness and femininity to take an outfit to the next level. In winter it still works – trust me!

ACCESSORIES

Just when we start to invest in our micro mini bags, the runway introduces the oversized bag! Will it catch on?

However, something we all look for is the perfect pair of boots and whilst the trend has gone a little chunky and clunky, I will be guiding my clients to find something versatile, feminine, and ultimately fabulous! So, it won’t be the Doc Martin, but something a little different!

MEN'S TRENDS

When a stylist researches new trends, they also think about how to wear the trends, where to wear them and importantly will the garment work for their lifestyle. Whilst there are many interesting new designs this Autumn Winter season, here are some which I will be pulling for all my male clients.

COLOUR

I am always trying to get my clients wardrobes out of the neutral zone, so this season I will be enticing them with red. Red was splashed all over this season's runway however it doesn’t need to be worn head to toe, just try one key piece for a re-energised autumn outfit.

TURTLENECK

Here is where we get to do the James Bond look. Love this as an alternative to a shirt worn under a blazer. Think about the colour and texture to up level up your knitwear.

ACCESSORIES

Whilst women’s bags have gone oversized, men’s have gone micro! Leave the non-essential items at home, and only carry what’s needed! The bum bag trend morphs into a necklace option or even a cross body!
