Elevate Your Hair Washing Routine: 4 Essential Tips
At Gustav Fouche, we believe in the power of proper hair care. Mastering the art of washing your hair is essential for maintaining healthy, beautiful locks. Today, we share Gustav’s four expert tips to help you achieve optimal results and elevate your hair washing routine when using GF Fabulosity.
1. Emulsify your shampoo for even distribution
To ensure your shampoo is evenly distributed, emulsify it but rubbing the shampoo in your hands with a small about of water before applying it to your scalp. This simple step helps prevent clumps and allows the shampoo to spread more easily throughout your hair.
2. Squeeze out excess water before applying conditioner
Before applying conditioner, gently squeeze out excess water from your hair. This step ensures that the conditioner can penetrate the cuticle and deliver its nourishing benefits. Avoid using silicone-based conditioners, as they can block the cuticle and hinder nutrient absorption.
3. Don’t be fooled by foaming
Contrary to popular belief, a foamy lather does not equate to clean hair. In fact, excessive lathering usually indicates the presence of sulphates in your products. Sulphates can dehydrate your hair and may even cause colour to lift. Focus on choosing sulphate-free options such as GF Fabulosity for a gentler and more nourishing haircare routine.
4. Understand the right amount of product to use
For our GF Fabulosity products, we recommend using shampooing twice. The first shampoo works to bind to dirt and grime, preparing it for removal. The second shampoo eliminates any remaining residue, leaving your hair thoroughly clean. As a guideline, Gustav personally uses 3 pumps for the first shampoo and 1-2 pumps of the second. For longer hair, we suggest using 6 pumps for the first shampoo and adjusting the amount for the second accordingly.
By incorporating these expert tips into your hair washing routine, you can achieve optimal cleanliness and nourishment for your hair. Elevate your hair care game with Gustav Fouche's GF Fabulosity products.
