It's all about 'The Shag'
"Think Joan Jett, Patti Smith, Rod Stewart, even Jagger and Bowie… They’ve all rocked The Shag and a head full of floaty flicks and textured layers could be just the chop for you too," says Gavin. "We love the cut for its versatility. Simply wash and go or rough dry for a fluffy finish, or simply run the straighteners through it for a more subtle glossy finish.”
Traditionally this haircut featured short layered bangs with loads of feathered, face framing layers, known for it’s messy finish. Shaggy haircuts are suitable for all lengths of hair with either short or longer bangs. This layered chop perfectly compliments any face shape.
The maintenance is minimal, just blow dry the hair keeping it very natural and textured. Use a mousse or light volumizing spray to add volume and texture, finishing off the style with a serum for shine and definition.
For the more daring and edgy individuals, why not try a shaggy mullet, like Miley Cyrus (my personal favourite by far). By adding some volume to the crown area will make your hair appear thicker and accentuate your mullet shag!
