YouCanFreeUs, an international human rights organisation fighting modern slavery around the world, has received a request for emergency assistance from a community centre in Odessa, Southern Ukraine, where over 600 people including many elderly, disabled, and young children are currently sheltering.
Conditions are worsening, shops are emptying and medical supplies are limited. They have requested non-perishable food items, medicines, winter clothing, hygiene products and generators, all of which the YouCanFreeUs team is purchasing in Romania and despatching across the border to Odessa. This community is also acting as an aid distribution hub for other towns and villages in the vicinity.
